THE GREAT WARWhy do they call it the Great War? Well for starters it included many of the worlds major powers. But one of the major reasons was because of the inovation and type of combat they used. Some of the inovations and combat tactics are:

• One of the tactics implamented was trench warfare. These trenchs went from the english channel all the way to the swiss border.
• The land imbetween the trenches was called no mans land. The no mans land in capture the flag is a little more safe.
• The machine gun was the major reason that no mans land was so dangerous.
• The British invention of the tank helped them get through no mans land in a large armored plated beast. It also helped with getting through the barbed wire.
• The gas mask, as you see on the right, was invented to combat chemical warfare introduced for the first time in this war.
